Mushroom picking in the remote forest during the 3rd week of October. One full week of mushrooms-based recipes culminating with the meditative feast by Michal Gnilka. The wooden house of Villa Kadenówka in Rabka Zdroj back to a live-theatre of performative improvisation. The mass of chaos by Chiara Fumai and the Tarot reading by Maria Loboda.

Mushroom as puppet-theatre directed by Iza Tarasewicz and esoteric rituals by Micki Pellerano. A treasure hunt conceived and displayed by Krzysztof Maniak. Giorgio Andreotta Calò is still looking for a metal artisan in Rabka. We are confident he will succeed in his sentimental search. As well the one driven by Niccolò Morgan Gandolfi who is back to this land not just to capture the moment but to create one.

Overlapping. Time dictated by the beat of a suspended gong. Deep observation of small objects following instructions provided by previous participant Bonnie Camplin. A remote contribution by Danny McDonald engaging with each participant in a ping pong of manipulated video recordings from Rabka to New York City and back, directed to manifest the gypsy drag queen character of Mindy Vale who was the watchful eye throughout the week, editing and proposing an “altered” version of reality. Still remotely, from Celia Hempton’s London studio, sound waves reached deep into the Polish countryside overtaking the rhythm of daily life. We are still day-dreaming of what Carsten Höller, our guest of honour, mentally projected.

Mycorial Theatre 2015 ran from the 2nd to the 9th of October. A project by Fiorucci Art Trust initiated by Paulina Olowska and Milovan Farronato, still Rabka Zdroj. Still in Creative House Kadenówka as core of the activities which will land the participants to the Open House on the 8th. Visitors were invited to appear from near, from far, from 7 to 10 pm.

In 2014, during the first edition of Mycorial Theatre, artist Patrizio Di Massimo created a permanent intervention on one row of windows of Villa Kadenówka. Not long after, the windows broke and Paulina Olowska, master of the house, asked artist Rafał Bujnowski to do an additional level of intervention, one that would not only contribute to Patrizio’s but also act as a structural one. New layers appeared as mushrooms on the common base of a shared mycelium.
