About Moltivolti

Moltivolti is a Palermo-based social enterprise with an ethos which promotes fair and diverse representation within society. They believe segregated peoples such as migrants and refugees, can be the solution to unlocking further development in Italy. The 14 founders, who hail from 8 different countries, such as Afghanistan, Senegal, France and Bangladesh, represent the plurality of views which define the organisation.

The project which is based and intimately tied with the city’s Ballarò neighbourhood, strives for equal rights and fair treatment of all people, regardless of skin colour and how long they’ve been in Sicily.

Moltivolti’s is a centre with both a restaurant with Sicilian-ethic and popular cuisine and  a non-profit co-working area. The centre currently has 20 employees, most of which are refugees, who work in synergy with the spaces as they simultaneously draw on cultural meaning and mutual encouragement. Whether it’s integration or the interaction, the centre greatly aids those who are often looked down on and actively persecuted by the government by actively fighting misinformation and racism.
